Our mission is to provide housing for independent seniors where staff and residents are respected and together create a state of social well being.

St. Andrew's Centre, owned and operated by St. Andrew's Housing Ltd., is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing a high standard of housing for seniors, plus a wide variety of services which any resident may access. A non-denominational residence, St. Andrew's is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors.

The Centre consists of two-7 story towers, which are connected by a glazed atrium courtyard. This beautifully landscaped area, complete with temperature and tropical plants, is the focus of the community of St. Andrew's. Residents and their guests are encouraged to use the Atrium and the adjoining restaurant to dine, socialize and enjoy the atmosphere of this unique setting.

The main complex is adjoined with a three story annex, which surrounds an open courtyard where residents can relax and enjoy the garden setting during the summer months.

The total complex contains 303 apartments with a choice of eight different floor plans. Applicants may choose between studio, open bedroom or two bedrooms apartments. We also offer suites designed for wheelchair accessibility.

The Centre is dedicated to nurturing a community environment. An active Residents' Association organizes a wide variety of recreational activities and social functions for all residents to enjoy.
To promote well being, St. Andrew's Centre has created a Health & Wellness Centre where residents are offered a variety of services to meet their needs.

As one of the premier facilities of its kind, St. Andrew's offers residents a gracious approach to retirement living. Review the tremendous range of features, services and amenities and you will find that the Centre offers everything you require to enjoy a full retirement. All of this is provided in an atmosphere of caring, understanding and respect for the individual.

Rental Rates
All applicants are advised that St. Andrew's Centre does have a waiting list for most types of apartments. For a one bedroom apartment, we estimate there is a one year waiting list; for a two bedroom apartment, the waiting list is longer. As well, it should be noted that St. Andrew's residents have priority for a two bedroom outside suite.

Eligibility:
The following criteria are considered when reviewing application:
  • Minimum age of 60 years
  • Capable of independent living
  • Any medical concerns which must not offset independence, unless services will be available to respond to the condition
Application Procedures:
  • Application form is completed and returned to St. Andrew's at which time the applicant is placed on the waiting list.
  • When an available suite is upcoming, a doctor's health form must be completed and returned to St. Andrew's.
  • An independent living assessment interview will be given at the Centre.
  • Suite will be offered to successful applicant.
